Equiom is celebrating several new appointments to its Isle of Man based tax and VAT business, Equiom Tax Services Limited (ETSL).
Tax practitioner Andrew Cardwell joined the team as Director from PwC in July. With more than 30 years’ experience in accountancy and tax consultancy, Andrew advises UK and Isle of Man resident clients on personal taxation, UK inheritance tax and capital gains tax as well as residence and domicile issues. He is also well versed in the UK anti-avoidance provisions applicable to offshore trust and company structures, providing advice to trustees and beneficiaries in relation to UK tax exposures.
Nicola Pardy has also taken the role of Tax Director having moved to Equiom from Grant Thornton International. Based in the UK, Nicola is a UK corporate and international tax specialist with 20 years’ experience of advising companies and their shareholders. Nicola is responsible for advising on all matters relating to UK tax.
Earlier this year, the team welcomed Mark A Hagan as VAT Director from KPMG. With more than 20 years’ experience in both industry and practice, Mark plays a key role in delivering VAT and customs advisory, compliance services and leads on business development initiatives for ETSL.
Andrew, Nicola and Mark join Jenny Akrigg to form the ETSL leadership team. An experienced tax consultant, Jenny is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of client services for Equiom Tax Services ensuring clients benefit from the highest levels of customer service and compliance. She joined the business From Deloitte in 2017 and was promoted to Director in May 2020.
