Equiom is committed to the principles of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Equiom and its global subsidiaries commits to take action to identify, prevent and mitigate modern slavery in its recruitment, operations, supply of services and in its supply chains to prevent slavery and human trafficking within its business and within the supply chains through which it operates, including any outsourced activities, particularly in jurisdictions that may not have adequate safeguards.

Our Recruitment Process
Equiom is committed to knowing who is working for us, whether employed directly, through a third party agency or through an Employer Of Choice. We insist for every hire, that appropriate checks are carried out and all prospective colleagues are legally entitled to work in the jurisdiction they are to be employed in and to safeguard all of our colleagues from any abuse or coercion.
• Employees should be free to choose to work for their employer and to leave the company upon reasonable notice
• All employees must be provided with a clear contract of employment, which complies with local legislation
• All employees must be treated in a fair and equal manner and with dignity and respect and policies are in place to support this commitment
Equiom ensures that our internal policies are compliant, as a minimum, with all applicable laws and industry standards in the jurisdictions in which we recruit and employ our colleagues, and that employee wages, benefits, working hours and minimum age are adhered to in all countries of operation, without any unauthorised deductions. No young persons may be employed below the age of 16.
All slavery and human trafficking laws are complied with including, but not limited to, the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Our Supply Chain
Our Third Party Supplier Onboarding Process helps mitigate the risk of us entering into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
As part of our commitment to identify and eradicate slavery and human trafficking, we have in place a process to undertake due diligence on our supply chain network to ensure compliance with legislative obligations including asking whether they have a Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking Policy in place
We expect our suppliers and potential suppliers to aim for high ethical standards and to operate in an ethical, legally-compliant and professional manner, even if our suppliers are not legally required according to the parameters of the Act to produce their own Company policy or Statement.
Equiom undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. Due to the nature of our business, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains and our supply chains are limited.
Ongoing monitoring of third-party suppliers is conducted by the function who have onboarded the supplier and supplier records are available to independent assurance parties to ensure service level agreements are being met and that the contract and process are being adhered to.
Relevant Policies
All Equiom colleagues have access to dedicated channels through which they may voice concerns, either through local reporting mechanisms or through the global whistleblowing procedure.
