Richard McGlashan  BA (Hons) MA ACA

Richard is a senior member of the Equiom Tax Services Limited team, sharing responsibility for overseeing the indirect tax services function, with particular emphasis on real estate and aviation VAT in the Isle of Man, UK and EU. 

Richard provides VAT and indirect tax advice to clients and intermediaries, ranging from affluent individuals to large global corporate groups. His work encompasses complex VAT advisory cases, VAT compliance, importing and exporting of luxury assets, Stamp Duty Land Tax matters, and tax authority dispute resolution. 

Richard has over 15 years’ experience in financial services including 12 years advising on both direct and indirect taxes. He spent four years at a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, and has specialised in indirect tax at Equiom since 2016. 

Richard is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Master’s Degree in Screen Studies from the University of Manchester.
