Equiom Singapore celebrates successful partnership with CapBridge following recent listings on 1exchange

Equiom Singapore celebrated success recently following multiple listings for CapBridge Pte. Ltd ('CapBridge') on 1exchange ('1X').

CapBridge and 1X together form the leading integrated private market ecosystem in Singapore. Since Equiom first partnered with CapBridge last year as a licensed trust company to act as trustee, trust administrator and escrow service provider, CapBridge has achieved three listings on 1X – Singapore’s first regulated private securities exchange built on the public blockchain.

Equiom began its partnership with 1X following its first private company listing as a trust administrator for Aggregate Asset Management Pte. Ltd on 9 July 2019. Since then, on 10 July 2020, Danai Spa (a Malaysia-based wellness and aesthetics services operator operated by Crigen) was also listed. Equiom attended the virtual gong-striking ceremony together with representatives from Crigen, CapBridge and strategic partner and shareholder Singapore Exchange ('SGX').

The listing of JOCOM was celebrated most recently. Marked by a virtual gong-striking on 18 March, the ceremony was attended by representatives from JOCOM, CapBridge and its strategic partner and shareholder, SGX. 

Equiom acts as the trustee for 1X, having set up the entire trust structure for multiple issuers to list on its platform and hold shares, protecting both the interests of the issuers and investors. Equiom provides trust administration services for each of the sub-trusts where corresponding units are assigned to investors in the sub-trust. Escrow services are also provided to facilitate transactions between buyer and seller and recorded on the 1X platform, which uses blockchain technology.
