Clare is responsible for the global in-house legal function at Equiom, leading a cross-jurisdictional team delivering advice and solutions that support strategic business objectives and mitigate risk.
Clare has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, including 13 years in-house, advising international businesses on a diverse range of legal and contractual matters. Prior to working in-house, Clare was in private practice specialising in corporate finance, M&A, equity capital markets and private equity at two leading London law firms.
Clare was shortlisted for in-house counsel of the year at the Women in Finance Awards 2020, won the British Culture Awards Diversity category in 2019 (for devising a global sponsorship and reverse mentoring programme designed to enhance gender and ethnic diversity at senior management level) and was included in the Financial Times Part-Time Power Top 50 in 2013 which celebrates senior executive role models working part-time or flexibly.
Clare is a coach and mentor to women returning from maternity leave for Cityparents, a network for city professionals balancing family life with a progressive career, and a passionate supporter of the 93% Foundation (the UK’s largest state-school social mobility organisation).
Clare is a qualified solicitor of the Law Society of England & Wales, having also served on its governing body for a four-year term, an ICSA qualified Company Secretary and a Senior Management Programme graduate of London Business School.
