Equiom strengthens global offering with strategic appointment to enhance Luxury Asset Services
Equiom has appointed Lionel Richard as Director, Luxury Asset Services, a strategic, group-wide role focused on the continued growth and development of the firm’s luxury asset proposition.
Lionel will help strengthen coordination and further develop Equiom’s Luxury Asset Services across jurisdictions and service lines. He will work closely with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, family offices, corporate clients and internationally mobile clients to structure, own and administer high-value mobile assets, with a particular focus on superyacht and private aviation.
His appointment reflects Equiom’s continued investment in specialist expertise to meet growing demand for integrated, cross-border solutions in the ownership and management of complex luxury assets. As part of the Group’s broader private wealth, family office and corporate services offering, Luxury Asset Services plays an increasingly important role in supporting clients navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks, governance requirements, and long-term ownership structures.
Lionel brings more than 17 years’ experience in the international superyacht and luxury asset sector. He has held senior leadership positions within global superyacht businesses, where he has led commercial strategy, built international partnerships and worked closely with owners, intermediaries and specialist advisers. His experience spans Europe and the UK, including key industry hubs such as London and Monaco, and includes advising on the full lifecycle of luxury asset ownership, from acquisition through to operation and long-term management.
Recognised within the superyacht and luxury asset sectors for his strong industry relationships, Lionel combines deep sector knowledge with a disciplined, service-led approach to client delivery. Fluent in both French and English, he brings an international outlook shaped by extensive cross-border experience, to support Equiom’s global clients and partners.
Jon Jennings, CEO of Equiom, commented:
“Lionel’s appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening and evolving our global service offering in line with client needs. Luxury assets are an increasingly important component of ownership and structuring for internationally mobile private and corporate clients, bringing with them a unique combination of regulatory, operational and cross-border considerations.
“His experience, industry relationships and strategic mindset will play a key role in further enhancing our Luxury Asset Services, building on the Group’s established specialist expertise and supporting our continued growth in this area. As industry activity accelerates across yachting and aviation, Lionel’s appointment positions us strongly to deepen our engagement and support clients with confidence.”
Commenting on his appointment, Lionel Richard said:
“The ownership and management of luxury assets is becoming increasingly complex, particularly for clients operating across multiple jurisdictions. There is a clear need for a coordinated approach that brings together governance, structuring and day-to-day administration in a seamless way.
“Equiom is well positioned to deliver this, with a strong global platform and deep expertise across private wealth, family office and corporate services. I look forward to working across the Group to further develop and scale the Luxury Asset Services offering, strengthening our ability to support clients throughout the full lifecycle of asset ownership.”
Lionel’s appointment comes at a time of continued growth in demand for specialist support in the luxury asset sector, particularly as industry activity continues to build across the global yachting and aviation calendar. His role will focus on helping shape and accelerate Equiom’s market-facing proposition, ensuring clients benefit from a consistent, high-quality service across jurisdictions.
