Jonathan is regional lead for Equiom in the Middle East, and (subject to appropriate approvals) will become a member of the Middle East Boards and Authorised Individual for Equiom Fiduciary Services (Middle East) Limited. He has overall responsibility for the management, strategic direction, and operation of the Middle East businesses across DIFC, ADGM, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and KSA, and ensuring that they align with Equiom’s group strategy.
With over 28 years of global experience, including extensive work in the UK, USA, Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa, he has assumed various leadership roles, including Group Director for Strategy & Strategic Partnerships and Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa at TMF Group. Jonathan has a deep understanding of the financial services landscape, encompassing areas such as corporate governance, risk management, and compliance, consumer and commercial finance and trust and corporate services. He builds robust working relationships and provides guidance to international businesses and investors on various corporate commercial issues, including market entry strategies, corporate governance as well as company formation, structuring and restructuring.
Jonathan has served as an active Director on a wide variety of Boards throughout Europe and the MEA region, engaging with regulated entities in locations such as Mauritius, Switzerland, Qatar (QFC), and Abu Dhabi (ADGM). This includes experience with various types of securitisation and capital market structures, including Shariah compliant options; SPVs and investment funds catering to both private and sovereign investors; operating companies and holding companies, taking on roles as a local resident Director when necessary or in a more hands-on capacity.
With extensive experience collaborating with multinational clients and leading intermediaries worldwide, he has established a strong reputation as a trusted leader. He is dedicated to developing Equiom’s innovative and tailored solutions that drive our corporate and private clients towards their objectives, supporting the wider business strategy and building on Equiom’s position as a market leader in the region.
Jonathan holds a MA (Hons) in French and European Union Studies from the University of Edinburgh and is fluent in English and French.
