Rachel is a leading member of Equiom’s VAT and Customs team. Specialising in Isle of Man (IOM), United Kingdom (UK) and European Union (EU) VAT, Customs and maritime fiscal reporting obligations.
With more than 30 years providing specialist VAT and Customs services, including a notable 12 years working in the tax department of a ‘Big Four’ accountancy firm, she possesses extensive expertise in luxury assets, specifically in yachting and aviation. Rachel assists with real estate transactions, Customs compliance, and fiscal reporting obligations for both commercial and private luxury asset structures. Additionally, she supports clients with Customs importation, exportation, virtual customs warehousing and other special VAT/Customs procedures. Her ability to practically apply IOM/UK and EU legislation allows her to both mitigate risk whilst optimising VAT and Customs duty for a diverse client base.
