Senior Service Desk Engineer - IT

Job purpose & overall objective

This role involves providing first, second and third line desktop and infrastructure support for the business through our IT Service Desk. Responsibilities will include general administration duties, document maintenance, undertaking regular backups, system procedures, reporting and ad-hoc project work.  

Are you the person for this role?

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' previous experience in a second line desktop support role, preferably within the financial services sector. A working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server, VMware, vSphere and networking, VMware Horizon, MS Exchange, SQL Server are required. Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be beneficial as would holding the ITIL qualification. Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and organisational skills are essential. The role will also require travelling and providing out of hours support for business critical issues.
