Philip has extensive experience at a senior level in private and publicly held international organisations. In particular, he has built a large amount of knowledge working with the private equity industry and in private equity funded businesses.
His current roles include serving as a non-executive director and member of the executive committee of a private equity business focused on Asia, the Middle East and India.
Philip’s career has included the position of chairman of one of the world’s leading international environmental consulting firms, a member of the executive committee at a major international law firm, and a director at a major UK motor insurer.
He has also served as a member of the Advisory Council of The Prince’s Trust and a council member of the Confederation of British Industry.
Philip's background is steeped in professional services. He spent 25 years at Arthur Andersen and was Senior and Managing Partner for their UK practice from 1997 to 2000, before he became the firm’s Global Chief Operating Officer.
Subsequent to Arthur Andersen, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Aon UK and in late 2007 he joined the Board of HBOS as its Chief Operating Officer.
