Barry’s role involves liaising with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken in addition to providing legal protection and risk management advice to management. Barry also provides training to Equiom staff in order to disseminate appropriate legal requirements.
Barry has over 35 years' experience in the legal industry and specialises in company, commercial, trust and fund industry law. Coupled with over 15 years’ experience in eGaming law, Barry brings a wealth of knowledge in licensing applications, regulatory knowledge and commercial agreements.
Involvement in Equiom’s property portfolio is also part of Barry’s day-to-day role, through establishing and acting as trustee for a variety of property funds.
Barry is a graduate of the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He Qualified in South Africa as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public, later re-qualifying in England as a Solicitor, and then in the Isle of Man as an Advocate and Notary Public (IOM).
