Equiom has announced two new senior appointments in its Jersey office. The appointments are a result of the company’s ongoing expansion.
Harry Lawson has been appointed Senior Tax Consultant. Harry is an experienced tax professional specialising in UK and Jersey jurisdictions. He worked at HMRC for over 20 years before taking up senior positions in the private sector and has an extensive background in tax compliance and procedures. In his role at Equiom, Harry will be responsible for developing the tax advisory side of the business.
‘I am looking forward to joining Equiom during this exciting growth period. Over the 30 years spent as a tax professional I have witnessed at first hand the increasing complexity and globalisation of tax legislation as it has evolved across jurisdictions. I am looking forward to applying my experience to new challenges and to ensuring that Equiom’s clients are given the best tax advice that fits in with their needs.’
Laura Brown has been appointed as Senior Manager – Client Services. Having previously worked at a respected corporate services provider and a well-known international private bank, Laura has over a decade of experience in the trust and private client industry. Her new role will involve managing relationships with clients while providing expert trust and corporate services.
Alice Dumoitier, Interim Managing Director of Equiom Jersey added:
‘As we experience a period of sustained growth at Equiom, recruiting local talent remains at the heart of what we do. Our focus remains on building a team of local professionals and fostering organic growth. I am very pleased to welcome Harry and Laura to the team.
