Equiom Group announces appointment of Jeremy Fearnley as Head of Corporate Development, Asia

Equiom has announced the appointment of Jeremy Fearnley as Head of Corporate Development, Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Jeremy Fearnley joins Equiom from KPMG, where he most recently served as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). He joined KPMG in the UK in 1997 and moved to the Hong Kong office in 2006, where he became a partner in 2011.

During his time as a leader in the Corporate Finance division at KPMG, he advised on a wide range of public and private transactions including acquisitions, disposals, fundraisings, distressed deals, public-to-private transactions and private equity deals. Since relocating to Hong Kong, he has advised international clients and Asia-based entrepreneurs on their strategies for 10 years and has completed a number of significant mandates across Asia, including the recent sale of Wing Hang Bank to OCBC for US$5bn.

Equiom has a proven strategy to grow both organically and through acquisition and has tripled in size since 2013, having made three acquisitions in Hong Kong and the Channel Islands in 2015 and two in the Isle of Man in 2014. The expansion plans in Asia will be focused on acquiring market-leading capability in trust administration, corporate services, fund administration and capital market trustee services.

Commenting on Jeremy’s appointment, Equiom’s Hong Kong Chairman Roddy Sage said:
