Equiom at the breakfast briefing

Equiom will be represented at the breakfast briefing by Glenn Cassidy, Senior Tax Consultant, Equiom Solutions. Glenn will consider the implications of the recent UK Inheritance Tax (IHT) changes which will impact the holding of UK residential property by non-UK resident and non-UK domiciled individuals. He will also look at the impact of the draft UK tax legislation which was released in early July 2018, including:

  • the proposed taxing of gains realised by all non-residents on the disposals of UK ‘immovable property’
  • the taxing of any gains realised by non-residents on the disposals of ‘substantial interests’ held in ‘property rich’ entities
  • the meaning of these new terms

Helen Woods - Managing Director, Equiom Solutions from the Isle of Man office will also be attending the seminar and is available for any questions.
