About JETRO & the Panel Discussion
JETRO is a government-related organisation that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.
The purpose of this particular panel event is to highlight the success of Canadian business in Japan territory. The discussion itself is due to provide the audience tips for initially establishing a foreign-affiliated operation in Japan, common concerns from Canadian companies, how to sustain and grow a business in Japan post-establishment and additional topics of interest.
This unique networking forum will offer delegates the ideal opportunity to meet with senior industry figures and ask questions to develop their knowledge of Japan as a basis for Canadian companies.

Representing Equiom at the event is Robert Crane, who will feature on the expert panel alongside other senior industry members.
Robert has over 16 years of experience advising multinationals and startups in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He also served as Assistant Director for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) from 2001 to 2006 where he focused on inward investment into Japan. He has helped many companies set up their operations in Tokyo and Hong Kong and has an excellent knowledge of the Japanese market. A former president of the Entrepreneur Association of Tokyo, Robert was a founder of Tokyo Executives LLC, a high-level private business community in Tokyo.
