Senior Manager - Business Development (to be based in the UK)

Due to continued expansion across the group, we are recruiting for a Senior Manager - Business Development to be based in the UK.


Job purpose and overall objective

Working in conjunction with the wider business development team, the successful job holder will have specific new business growth targets and will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the group’s overall organic growth target. 

The successful candidate will be based in UK and will be required to generate new business growth both locally and potentially within targeted international markets.

Main or key responsibilities

  • Using existing contacts/network to drive top line sales to achieve personal and company growth revenue targets
  • Delivering new business propositions and supporting senior staff with business pitches
  • Sourcing high quality referrals across all of Equiom's business lines
  • Supporting the business development, tax and client administration teams in delivering new product initiatives and improving revenue from existing products
  • Identifying alternative routes to market 
  • Acting as an ambassador for Equiom by building business relationships and representing Equiom at functions and seminars

Essential experience and qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience of thriving in an entrepreneurial business development environment and ability to demonstrate significant success in a similar role
  • A successful track record of network development, new client acquisition and retention
  • The ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals
  • A strong commercial understanding of the fiduciary services industry and good working knowledge of the tax environment that Equiom operates in
  • A solid understanding of the risk management framework applicable within the fiduciary services industry

Desirable experience and qualifications

  • An industry relevant qualification (e.g. STEP/ICSA)
  • Experience of being remotely-managed and working from home
  • International market experience
