Senior Manager - Business Development

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Development team in Luxembourg, in this newly created Senior Manager role.


Job purpose and overall objective

Working in conjunction with the wider team to develop corporate and fund services in Luxembourg and significantly contributing to the delivery of the group’s organic growth target. 

Main or key responsibilities 

  • Networking to drive sales to achieve personal and company growth revenue targets whilst acting as an ambassador for the company
  • Managing and developing relationships with key and target intermediaries, both in Luxembourg and specified international markets
  • Working with the Equiom Luxembourg Managing Director and Head of Business Development Europe to create and implement a suitable marketing strategy for Luxembourg to help grow a culture of organic growth
  • Assisting in the development and promotion of the Equiom brand in Luxembourg 
  • Delivering new business propositions and supporting staff 'pitching' for new business
  • Encouraging high quality cross referrals across all business lines
  • Supporting the business development, tax and client administration teams in delivering new product initiatives and improving revenue from existing product offerings
  • Identifying alternative routes to market, consequently generating additional revenue 
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards, policies and procedures
  • Travelling frequently to work in other offices in different countries and jurisdictions, as well as attending various industry events, acting as lead where appropriate (1-2 days per week will be spent 'on the road', primarily in the UK market)

Essential experience and qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience and success in a similar role
  • A strong understanding of Luxembourg structures and fund industry
  • Demonstrated success of network development and new client acquisition and retention
  • Strong business development and presentations skills and an ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals
  • An understanding of the risk management framework applicable within the Luxembourg financial services industry
  • Fluent in English and French/German - additional language skills would be beneficial 

Desirable experience and qualifications 

  • Relevant industry qualification (e.g. STEP, ICSA, CISI etc.)
  • A strong understanding of the fiduciary services industry and knowledge of the tax environment that the group operates in
